Why Subcooling is Important

Innovative Solutions

Enhancing HVAC Performance with Cutting-Edge Technology

The HVAC industry is driven by innovation; balancing comfort, efficiency, and sustainability in heating, cooling, and air quality.

Advanced engineering plays a crucial role in optimizing performance and energy use. With deep expertise in HVAC solutions, we design cutting-edge humidity control systems that integrate seamlessly, improving indoor environments and system longevity with the added benefit of ease of installation.

Concept

What is subcooling? Subcooling is when liquid is cooled below the temperature at which it turns to liquid (Saturation temp). EasyDri module is allowing the reheat coil to add subcooling liquid refrigerant, while exchanging warmer temperature into the supply air stream. This will raise supply air temp, keeping the system running longer to reduce grains of moisture, thus reducing space humidity.

Why Subcooling is Important?

Stability

Subcooling ensures liquid refrigerant entering the metering device. Very important in the refrigeration cycle. This keeps the system stable.

Optimized Perfomance

Improved efficiency: As a rule of thumb, a 1% efficiency increase in the refrigeration cycle is achieved for every 2 degrees of liquid subcooling. Our system typically increase subcooling 20-30F degrees.

Capacity

Subcooling can also increase peak capacity by as much as 30%.

  • Typical systems will run between 10F and 20F of subcooling. If lower than 10F, the system is likely undercharged.

  • EasyDri add-on reheat modules will increase subcooling 20-30F degrees.

How Much Subcooling is Needed?

What is EasyDri?

EasyDri delivers affordable, self-contained humidity reduction systems designed to seamlessly integrate with most residential HVAC equipment. Engineered for efficiency and simplicity, our systems improve air quality, reduce energy costs, and protect your home from moisture damage. Experience healthier, more comfortable living with innovative solutions that enhance both new and existing systems.

We are proud to offer a solution that is as effective as it is economical. With EasyDri, you don’t just reduce humidity—you protect your property from mold, mildew, and other moisture-related issues. Our systems contribute to healthier indoor environments while lowering energy bills and prolonging the life of your HVAC equipment.

  • Reheat module that sits on top of Trane AHU (Field Installed)

  • Capacity sizes (1.5~5T) (6~25T in commercial applications)

  • Available for Heat Pump, Cooling Only or Gas Heat

  • Compatible with Trane residential and blower fan coils

  • Unlike traditional hot gas reheat, liquid subcooling has no compressor oil loss

  • No additional work for Mechanical Contractor

  • No additional “hot gas line” needed

  • Keeps total install costs down as well as great for retrofit applications
